Enabling monetization

Monetization is enabled per avatar from the Finalize step. Visitors pay 2 credits per minute to talk to a monetized avatar.

Prerequisites

  • Avatar visibility set to Public or Unlisted.
  • You'll need to complete identity verification — see Identity verification.

Steps to enable monetization

  1. Open the avatar's editor and go to the Finalize step.
  2. Click the monetization button on the share section. The label depends on your state:
    • Verify & Monetize — shown the first time you set up monetization for this avatar.
    • Continue verification — shown when you've started verification but haven't finished yet.
    • Retry verification — shown when your previous verification attempt was canceled.
    • Manage monetization — shown when verification is complete; opens settings for an already-monetized avatar.
  3. Complete the verification flow.

Monetized state

Once enabled, the share section shows a Monetized badge. Click the same button again (now labeled Manage monetization) to make changes.
