System requirements

Atmee runs in the browser. No download, no install. Here's what you need for a clear live video conversation.

Browser

Any modern, up-to-date desktop or mobile browser — Chrome, Edge, Brave, Safari, or Firefox. Atmee uses WebRTC for live video; older browsers may not work.

Avoid in-app browsers

Links opened inside social apps — Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat, X, LinkedIn, LINE — use restricted browsers without full microphone or camera support. If you tap an Atmee link from one of these apps, open it in your regular browser. We'll prompt you to do this automatically where possible.

Permissions

Live video conversations need microphone and camera access. Your browser will ask the first time you start a session. If you'd rather just type, you can skip both — text chat works without a microphone or camera. If you denied access by accident, see Microphone not working.

Network

  • A stable broadband or strong mobile connection.
  • Corporate VPNs that block WebRTC may cause sessions to fail.
  • Public Wi-Fi at hotels and cafés sometimes blocks media traffic.

Devices

Desktop, laptop, tablet, and modern mobile phones are all supported. For Studio editing (creating and configuring avatars) we recommend a desktop or laptop.
