Appearance controls everything visual about your avatar: the source photo, lighting, framing, and the optional image-enhancement passes that make a casual phone snap look studio-grade.
Source photo
Use a single front-facing portrait. Even lighting matters more than resolution. Sunglasses, harsh backlight, or extreme angles will degrade lip-sync accuracy.
Image enhancement
Atmee runs an optional upscale + relight pass. Toggle it on the appearance step if your source is below 512x512 or has muddy lighting.
