Microphone not working

If the avatar can't hear you, or your mic indicator is off, it's usually a browser permission issue.

1. Check browser permission

  • Chrome — see the official help article.
  • Safari — select Settings, Websites, and click Microphone. Find Atmee.ai in the website list and change its permission to Allow.
  • Firefox — while on the Atmee.ai website, click the padlock icon next to the URL and select More Information. Then select Permissions. Scroll to Use the Microphone and select Allow.

2. Check your mic is selected

In the session, click the Mic icon. If multiple inputs are available (headset, built-in, USB), pick the one you're actually speaking into.

3. Check OS-level permission

  • macOS — System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone → enable your browser.
  • Windows — Settings → Privacy → Microphone → enable for your browser.
  • iOS / Android — Settings → app permissions → Microphone.

4. Other things to try

  • Quit and reopen the browser.
  • Unplug and replug your headset or USB mic.
  • Check that no other app (Zoom, Meet, Discord) is holding the mic.
  • Try a different browser to isolate the issue.
